Often called the clothes tree, typical coat stands tend to be tree-shaped. This work, however, is composed of only five wooden poles. Tensegrity structure maintains the entire shape through balanced tension of the strings, while the five poles do not touch one another. Ultimately it is a simple coat stand generated by geometry and dynamics.
